Dolphins Fall Inches Short

On Saturday August 20, 2022 the Miami Dolphins entered Hard Rock Stadium with Tua Tagovailoa in at quarterback. The Las Vegas Raiders drove down the field and scored a touchdown to take the 7-0 lead in the first. Tua would enter the game on offense and drive down the field before the drive stalled and forced the field goal to trim it to 7-3. The Dolphins would then hold the Raiders before taking over inside their own 10. Teddy Bridgewater would come in under center and threw one away to avoid a sack, this play would result in an "Intentional Grounding" call which awarded the Raiders a 9-3 lead.

This would then follow another field goal attempt to give the Raiders a 9-6 lead. Eventually the Dolphins finally found the endzone and converted the PAT to claim the lead 13-9 early in the 4th. The Raiders then drove the field and scored another touchdown to reclaim the lead 15-13. Miami would get a final drive to attempt to reclaim the lead and win. The Dolphins kicked the field goal which hit the left upright to result in the Raiders 15-13 win.
